He said it... really

A few days ago... last week I think (could check, but why bother)... Our Dear leader said this...and well, i'd have to say this is a lie...cuz isn't he the War President... the leader of the great armed world freedom crusade... willing to destroy human life to bring freedom to a godless world? You know, the ends justifies the means Preznit...

he said:
We should not use public money to support the further destruction of human life. (Applause.)

oops... I guess the key words are "should" and "further" ....but let's be honest, Bushy never has paid much attention to "shoulds" or the future... just ask Richard Clarke, or Paul O'Neil...

sense? can we make sense please...

Bushy Boy, our dear little wittless leader spoke with reporters today...At one point he was asked:

Q:And if I may ask you, Mr. President, as you know, the casualties of Iraq is again high today -- 50 more people dying. Do you think that insurgence is getting harder now to defeat militarily? Thank you.

PRESIDENT BUSH: No, I don't think so. I think they're being defeated. And that's why they continue to fight. ...

Ok... is it just me or does this make absolutely no sense at all?

Lets break it down...

If the enemy continues to fight you
then you are defeating said enemy.

Bassakword......wouldn't ya say?

shouldn't it be?

If the enemy fails to continue to fight Or the violence is subsiding
Then you may conclude that you are defeating the enemy.

Not the other way around... geez... is this PrezNit really such a Nit....

I guess the key here is that Bushy is trying to "think" and we all know that's way beyond him..."I think they're being defeated."

Yes and he also thinks God talks to him, his TownHalls are real, Karl Rove is honest and the rapture is coming real soon...

.

Waiting for Nuclear Tuesday....

So we wait... we wait for the Repugnics ...To destroy the United
States Senate... To crush the minority... To pack the courts with right wing Judges...to consolidate power with Jesus Bush...

It's coming and there doesn't seem like there is anything that can be done...

Now if I was Senator, and it was Nuclear Tuesday - I'd have to be taken from the Senate kicking and screaming... They'd have to have guards drag me from the floor...They'd need dogs and guns...

I wouldn't shut up... if they are gonna break the rules then fuck the rules and I'd yell and scream and make a general pain in the ass of myself... it would make for great TV...

BS News service:

Senator SGO was forcibly removed from the Senate floor today as he refused to stop expressing his right to free speech. The incident took place at the moment that VP Cheney ruled Judicial Filibusters unconstitutional. Within his machine gun like verbal attack on the Republican power grab, Senator SGO said " All you ethically challenged theocratic Fascist mother fucking monkeys will never get me to shut up... this used to be America remember?..." He said this while being clubbed about the head by the Republican Guards as he was dragged forcibly from the Senate floor.

MajorIdiot Senator Bill Frist said of the incident " it's clear Senator SGO is a threat to America. We just can't have people expressing themselves when we don't want them to. All Americans must watch what they say and watch what they do, because you are either with us against us, and the wrong words can cause problems... you saw what happened to Senator SGO ... you wouldn't want that to happen to you too ? would you?"

Senator SGO could not be reached for comment as he had apparently disappeared after being removed from the Senate floor. SGO's Staffers believe that the Senator has be taken to Guantanamo for questioning. Administration officals failed to confirm this claim, however they did say "SGO will get what he deserves. We all know that you are either with us or against us... and the Senator is clearly against us."

And we wait....

Lack of evidence is the rule of the day ... isn't it?

Measuring Morals

Philosoraptor gives us a well thought out examination of
The New Pope, Liberalism, Relativism, Conservatism and God

Some assertions by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict the XVI concerning liberalism and relativism might warrant consideration. For example: "We are moving towards a dictatorship of relativism...that recognizes nothing definite and leaves only one's own ego and one's own desires as the final measure."

If he continues to make such assertions, and if these become important themes in his papacy, then liberals might finally be forced to give some serious thought to the relationship between liberalism and relativism. The most important point to be made here is this one: liberalism in no way presupposes moral relativism. This is not a particularly difficult point to understand, and it should be clear to anyone who has spent even a moderate amount of time thinking about the issues.

This is a must read... spend some time...So go read it.

Think of an Apple....

The Apple Argument.

(the short version)

Think of an Apple.
What color is it?
What shape is it?

Hmm, that’s neither the color nor the shape of the apple I thought of…Mine had a worm… mine was green and red… mine was just the core…I got a rock (oops, Peanuts... wrong story)

Why? Why didn’t we think of the same apple?

Simply because each of us as individuals, have thoughts within our own minds and not anywhere else. Sounds silly, but that’s how it is - it’s the only way things can be.

Back to the apple…

An apple is something that all of us have seen, felt, smelled, etc. It is something tangible
something we can touch. It is a thing that is very familiar, a thing we have direct knowledge of, a thing we have a common reference with. When we talk about “that apple” in our minds, it’s never like the one that someone else thinks of it simply cannot be. It exists in our “own mind” and at that moment and nowhere else.

Now Think of God.
You can keep all the religion and religious iconography that’s been injected into your lives, or you can dismiss it, it matters not for this little exercise.

Go ahead…Think of God

Do you think two people are going to think of the same exact thing?

It’s not gonna happen. It cannot.

Even if the two people have been brainwashed with the exact same information the simple fact that they are individuals makes their beliefs their own and as such their expressions of the thoughts are individual ( save for the truly brainwashed automaton whose existence is questionable).

If we can’t even think of the same thing when dealing with a common object like an apple, how can individuals have the exact same ideas about something we can’t see, nor touch - something we have no direct knowledge of … The answer is that we simple cannot.

The point is simply that Religion, belief and faith is only truly real when kept to one's self. The moment you open your mouth and start telling people what you believe and what they should believe because it’s what you believe your God believes, you have simply fallen off the apple tree.

And Monkey Speaks

Ok... it's taken several days to recover from the Monkey Grinding last week... first cold sweats then extreme disbelief leading to full on shock then to shear horror then we end with a slight coma and a headache...

What did we learn? Nothing really...except someone in the press corps is named "Stretch"... and that reporters can't follow up questions for shit... And that Bushy still lies like a big dog...

But the best line from the whole thing was when Monkey said...(Italics obviously mine...duh)

"But let me say something. The United States government has an obligation to protect the American people. It’s in our country’s interests to find those who would do harm to us and get them out of harm’s way."

So we are going to get those who harm us out of harms way... now that's compassionate.

Isn't that sweet of the little ethically retarded Monkey...
