3 days - 2 videos - 1 Idiot President

So Bin Laden comes up for air this week. A new OBL video surfaces a few days after the "catsup in the streets" video is brushed aside.

The impact?

Two possible things -
1. Tape re-focuses the cam-pain on Terror and not Iraq. Advantage BushCo
2. The tape reinforces the truth that Bush didn't catch Bin Laden. Advantage Kerry

So how are they going to respond?

BushCo said:

Speaking to reporters outside the campaign rally here, White House communications director Dan Bartlett said that the tape should not affect the way Bush campaigns but that Kerry should have marked a 12-hour truce.

So they want to run around the country and yell "terror" "terror" and at the same time want Kerry to be silent about Bin Laden and stop all attacks on Bushy.
Give me a break! BushCo has no shame.

In other words BushCo wants to have their exploding cake and force feed it to the sheeple too, while keeping Kerry gagged and chained in the corner.

Not a chance Mr. Bush, we will not allow you to hide behind Bin Ladens' skirt.

Our response:
"Bin Ladden is back with his newest video BECAUSE Georgie Porggie with distorted lies lost Bin Laden which made us cry."

TPM has more on the focus of response.

BTW - I should note that this new OBL video coming out 4 days before the election certainly does have that "mark of Rove" - even Walter Cronkite suggested as much on Larry King last night.
CRONKITE: What we just heard. So now the question is basically right now, how will this affect the election? And I have a feeling that it could tilt the election a bit. In fact, I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing. The advantage to the Republican side is to get rid of, as a principal subject of the campaigns right now, get rid of the whole problem of the al Qaqaa explosive dump. Right now, that, the last couple of days, has, I think, upset the Republican campaign.

I have to agree but I just don't have all the pieces yet. But if they catch Bin Laden on Sunday or Monday then I'll be certain that Rove set this up.
