If not intelligence then what?

Ringg Ring Ring

Is Iraq there?

Yes this is Iraq?

How's it going?

Can you speak up it's a bit noisy here at the... BOOOMM.... moment....

A report from the National Intelligence Council approved by the National Foreign Intelligence Board under John E. McLaughlin, the acting director of central intelligence is certainly something to take seriously. These guys are your intelligence experts, they should have a good grasp of the situation.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 - A classified National Intelligence Estimate prepared for President Bush in late July spells out a dark assessment of prospects for Iraq, government officials said Wednesday.

The estimate outlines three possibilities for Iraq through the end of 2005, with the worst case being developments that could lead to civil war, the officials said. The most favorable outcome described is an Iraq whose stability would remain tenuous in political, economic and security terms.

Wow the National Intelligence Council says Iraq is going to Hell in an exploding HandBasket. This has got to sober President Bush up. Let's see.

President Bush please.

Yes this is George.

Reuters man: Why do you think the CIA's assessment of conditions in Iraq are so much at odds with the optimism that you and Prime Minister Allawi are expressing at the moment?

PRESIDENT BUSH: The CIA laid out a -- several scenarios that said, life could be lousy, like could be okay, life could be better. And they were just guessing as to what the conditions might be like. (emphasis added)
If our Intelligence Agencies are JUST GUESSING then where the hell does Bush get his actual information from? Or do we have none? Is nothing real? Do we just make it up?
Is it info from God again? Are we just screwed?
Does Bush know anything at all? Could he really not know that things are bad, very bad in Iraq?

Is Ignorance strength?

Don't we really deserve better than this?
