Bush + Medicare = Shameless

Out of the many words that I could use to describe the hike in Medicare premiums, the one that comes to mind first is shameless, the next and subsequent words are not so kind and not family friendly.
Just one Day after Bush gives a speech in which he says

"I believe we have a moral responsibility to honor America's seniors"
he increases premiums a whopping %17 - the largest increase ever.

Notice his use of "we".

I guess "we" includes the seniors and disabled taking more responsibility honoring themselves - having to pay more $$ each month.

Monthly payments for Part B of the government health care program for older and disabled Americans — doctor visits and most other non-hospital expenses — will jump to $78.20 from $66.60, a 17% increase, the administration said Friday.

The administration, seeking political advantage among older voters, has tried to depict the Medicare law, with its first-ever prescription drug benefit, as a boon to seniors.
USA Today

My head hurts from the sheer audacity of Bushco. Released on a friday before a holiday weekend. Do they really think people are that stupid ? Yes, they do and yes people are.
